HISTORY & DESCRIPTION

HISTORY & DESCRIPTION
A period Grade II listed detached house we understand dates back to the mid 19th Centuary is well known for being Dylan Thomas's former home. Dylan lived in 3 locations around Laugharne and moved to Sea View, with Caitlin, who was pregnant at the time, in 1938, and is quoted in saying that the 2 years they spent there was 'the happiest period of our lives together'. Here they entertained a host of personalities including the writer TS Elliott and the painter Augustus John who memorably described it as a 'doll's house'. Years after living in Sea View he returned to Laugharne to take up residence at the BoatHouse.
Over recent years the property has been a former guest house and restaurant until the current vendor purchased and sympathetically modernized the property to what it is today which is a delightful residence full of charm and character, is tastefully decorated throughout and we strongly recommend internal viewing to truly appreciate its appeal and in particular its location
